The registration process is quite intuitive and simple. Please follow these basic instructions;
Yes, of course, simply navigate to the Meeting Scheduler (while logged in to Powow), find the meeting you'd like to modify and click on the 'Edit' button on the right-hand-side of the meeting name, and feel free to edit the meeting as you like.
Either the meeting you are hosting is a Private type meeting and the user has not been invited, or alternatively the user's account has been suspended.
You can make a request to speak whilst in a meeting. The meeting host is required to approve your request, in which case you may be granted audio only, or video and audio speaking rights.
We have gone to great lengths in order to make the identification of your computer devices (microphone and webcam) quite automated. However if you still have issues regarding your Microphone or Webcam, please do the following
1. Click on the 'Device Settings' button in the left-navigation while logged in to Powow
2. Select the devices on your computer that you would like to use and click on the 'Save'
Yes, however we suggest not to run any unnecessary programs to ensure your computer has sufficient resources in order not to slow down Powow, and also make sure your internet connection is not in use or otherwise heavy demand for back ups, program updates, antivirus updates etc. as this can restrict/ limit your bandwidth and ultimately affect the conference room quality of service.
Naturally, online video conferencing of any variety requires a modern capable computer. Powow has been code optimised to run as efficiently as is possible and will perform fine whilst multitasking, running in power save modes, or on low end modern computers. That said, Powow will load a little faster, respond a little quicker, and run a little happier when used on a high end computer with a powerful processor, plenty of memory, and few applications vying for attention.
Powow automatically checks for updates each time you start the application.
Assuming your internet connection is available, the next possibility is that the web server that is hosting Powow is down. If this is the case, you should see an error message to this effect.
Close the web browser and try opening Powow again, if you still cannot access the application then proceed to contact support.
The video host can start a meeting without publishing their video or audio stream. You may use the 'chat' functionality in order to communicate to other users that are present in the meeting.
Close the web browser and try opening Powow again, if the application continues to crash, then proceed to contact support.
The meeting host must give you Face-to-Face in order for you to be able to control the meeting content.
Powow has the latest echo cancellation technology and any standard microphone and speakers can be used. We recommend the use of a headset in a noisy environment but this is optional.
